Sports and kinesiology taping
Sports or kinesiology taping is commonly used as an adjunct or temporary treatment of an injury by applying tape to the skin. This is usually to protect an injured area, reduce swelling or assist in muscle function. The effects of tape can be mechanical, neuromuscular or psychological. It can increase your confidence in moving the injured area and support joint stability.
Sports tape is rigid for more support and kinesiology taping is an elastic material to assist muscle function.
As well helping in the athletic population, there is evidence that taping can help with knee osteoarthritis reducing pain.

I went to Rebecca after about 2 years of unsuccessful treatment of shin splints. Rebecca did a full assessment and managed to start reversing the pain on both shins. She was extremely knowledgeable and through therapy, acupuncture and targeting strengthening she got me to the point where I could run a 5k, skip and box pain free.David Nicolson
Having suffered with upper back and neck pain for many years I have been treated by a variety of health care professionals with limited success. Rebecca really took the time and listened to the issues I had. For the first time in many years I am pain free following treatments and suggested targeted exercises.Kenneth Mckenna
